Temwen: Witness Seal

Temwen helps adults preserve what people who know them can personally attest, before important papers are missing.

Create a local witness seal, meet someone who knows you, and exchange a signed fixed claim between two phones by camera QR. A witness occasionally connects beforehand to prepare private registry-signed tokens; the in-person voucher exchange and later presentation work offline. Later, choose one predicate to present, such as being known for at least five years, without naming which eligible voucher was used.

ONE FACT AT A TIME

Temwen presentations are limited to fixed claims. A holder can show that one or more eligible registered keys support a familiarity predicate without displaying the stored ledger, names, photos, or exact relationship details. A fresh presentation uses new proof material and expires after ten minutes.

The seal says how many separate registered keys back it and shows each key's registry age and graph-standing band. Keys are not proof of separate people. Age alone grants no standing. “Independently corroborated” appears only when mutually reported in-person graph evidence crosses the defined boundary; it is a label, never a gate or a rating.

DIRECT PHONE-TO-PHONE EXCHANGE

Witness requests, signed vouchers, revocations, and presentations move as camera QR codes while the phones are together. A witness needs occasional internet access to register an app-generated key and prepare blind tokens. Optional graph standing is reported only if both parties choose to report the same meeting. The app does not create accounts or a public directory. There is no profile search, conversation feed, person score, payment, or open text claim.

REVOCATION AND SAFETY CONTROLS

An issuer can create a signed revocation for an individual voucher. A holder can retire a local seal and begin again. Every received claim includes Report and Block controls, and a Child Safety screen explains the published standards and contact route.

IMPORTANT BOUNDARY

Temwen records what people say they personally know. It does not create or replace a government-issued identity document, determine legal identity, prove citizenship, prove that one key is one person or device, or guarantee that a statement is true. A verifier should consider the registered-key count, displayed bands, proof timing, key-set age, and revocation snapshot together with the situation in which it is presented. An offline verifier cannot know whether the same token was shown to somebody else.

ACCESS AND COMPATIBILITY

The interface adapts from phones to tablets with a stitched navigation spine and split witness worktable. Camera access is requested only when scanning a Temwen QR. Biometric permission is used only if the user enables biometric app unlock.
